Hi iBleazy, thanks so much for joining us again! We’d love to hear about your new releases, but before we get into that can you briefly introduce yourself for folks who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Thank you Voyage again, for having me! I truly appreciate you all and thank you so much for following my journey. For those of you joining us for the first time, I’m iBleazy. Colorado native singer songwriter and creative. From American Idol (2 pre seasons) to opening for Boulder based band 3Oh!3 at the Black Sheep Colorado Springs, to performing in world dance shows and now releasing my own music. It’s been a journey and I can’t wait to continue to see where mine takes me and I appreciate you all out there coming along for the ride!
Alright, so let’s talk about your new song and lyric video for Higher. Talk to us about the core message of the song and the backstory behind how you came up with the concept, lyrics, etc.
Higher is special in its own way. This song was written based off a lot of stuff that was going on in my life at that specific time. Personally and as a spectator. The main message that stands out is fighting for your person. Giving your all through the hardships and bullshit and taking that person to a higher place. Letting love be what it is and is supposed to be, LOVE. Never giving up and pushing the limits. The hidden message in there was following your desires and doing what’s meant for you. What you were born to do! Knowing at the end of your day that you’re doing it right now matter what.
Can you talk to us about the process of putting together this lyric video. Walk us through from start to finish, we love nerding out on the details.
NERD OUT GUYS! I love it! Yes. First I want to say support and partner with independent agencies and creatives. It’s hella important to do so and helps us so much. I teamed up with an independent creative out of South Asia on this project. He has an amazin’ catalogue of lyric videos under his belt for independent artists such as myself. The thought process behind the video, like I said above, was to go with the message that stood out and that was LOVE and taking it higher and doing what you gotta do, we all love, love right?!? We went with that message and tied it into the theme you see on the lyric video. The lights, the imagery, the different insinuated signs throughout; the butterflies, the mushrooms (the trip of love), the car drive, the hate of each other but the hold on the created the sign of a heart in the two people holding hands. From start to finish it felt as if the story was told without even really purposefully piecing it together, which is always a god send when working on projects like these. So yeah! I can’t wait to give you more visuals and videos.

Take yourself Higher in every aspect of life. whether it be love, career, life whatever it is. Shoot for the top and know that every step you take, and every move you make you are doing it the right way. The way it was destined for you.
