Check Out Shannon Fable’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Fable.

Hi Shannon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
While working in the corporate world, I discovered group fitness classes. Once I got involved, the rest is history. Quickly became an instructor, moved on to being a manager, working in several capacities at gyms including personal training, sales, management, while also stretching myself as an educator in the space. I worked for several companies as a program developer, educator, presenter, spokesperson, and more (Schwinn, BOSU, Power Systems).

Along the way, my husband and I created a software program for gyms called GroupEx PRO. It was a first-of-its-kind platform to help manage the backend needs for group fitness managers and instructors, as well as a robust member-facing schedule. We sold the company after over 10 years of successful ownership to a larger software company in the industry.

My days of focusing on the movement side of fitness made way for my business to grow. I began to be sought after for business development consulting for facilities, products, education companies, and successful solopreneurs in the space. I now offer workshops, self-paced, and group coaching courses for all types of entrepreneurs focused on growing scalable and sustainable business withOUT overwhelm or burnout.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Is any road smooth? While I do not believe anything I faced was any more or less than what other entrepreneurs face, I know that learning to get off the see saw that most of us are on pitting life against work and work against life was the biggest struggle. As a mom who traveled nearly 45 weeks out of the year, dealing with the criticism and self-imposed judgment was challenging. Although, I believe it made us stronger as a family. Logistically, there was a lot to deal with, but also emotionally figuring out what was right for us – regardless of what others thought.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Shannon Fable helps entrepreneurs and organizations increase impact without burnout or overwhelm. I provide one-on-one coaching, but do my best work with my accountability group- the Implementation Incubator- and the 3 courses I offer as group coaching programs: Find Your Time, Find Your Focus, and Find Your People. I believe anyone can be impactful with the time they have available if they put the right routines in place and sharply determine who they want to help, what they are best suited to help them do, and they have a strong why behind it all. I know that sidestepping overwhelm and burnout is a daily journey that must also be addressed!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
In the beginning, I wish I would have known how important it was to surround yourself with like-minded people who support you regardless. I would found my people early and allowed them to help me along the way! I also wish I would have trusted my gut a bit more, versus playing follow the leader. The magic happens when you find your own way.
