Conversations with the Inspiring Nicole Rueth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Rueth.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in mortgage lending for 18 years… first supporting others build their business in an operational role; then building my own mortgage business. There was always a mid-level of success, but then I hit a tipping point eight years ago. My perspective on building wealth using real estate changed after I bought my first investment property. At first, I accumulated properties for my own gain. This gave me a better perspective on effective solutions for my clients, However, everything changed again when I helped my 20-year-old buy his first investment property. Now, I saw the impact I could have on my client’s future wealth gain and stability. The vision for my mortgage success turned to educate as many people as I can with the opportunity to help them achieve wealth diversification and growth. I am passionate to support my clients achieve multi-generational wealth.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
If you want to make a big impact, hit big goals, you have to be willing to take big risks.. and sometimes fail. I have had more than my share of failures and embarrassments. But they have all been worth the lessons learned. I am a strong woman in a heavily male-dominated industry. It takes a while to be taken seriously. What I have found and would pass on as one of the most important traits of success is… know your lane. Know what you are trying to build and who you are trying to build it for. Know your purpose and passion for your work. If you stand up for what you value, others will gravitate towards you.

What should we know about The Rueth Team of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
There are many “mortgage professionals” in my market. What I do is different. I help my clients build wealth through real estate. Yes… we help them obtain a mortgage to purchase a home, but we do it with the end goal of providing diversification and opportunity for wealth gain and stability. I get excited when I see their face light up with the thought of being able to fund their kid’s college, live a retirement they desire and/or create stability in an unstable market. Real estate, when done right, provides this and more.

Besides originating mortgages, I also teach classes on wealth diversification, investing in real estate, market trend analysis for Realtors, and first time home buyer options. It is my turn to provide the tipping point to as many other people as I can. Giving them the vision for financial freedom.

Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Finding a good coach/mentor is essential. Someone you can bounce ideas off of, who keeps you on your path, who holds you accountable to your vision. I have two coaches whom I’ve grown to love deeply. I can honestly say, I would not have accomplished as much as I have without their gentle pushes and guidance.
