Instructor Tina Porter leads the class in an intense 1 1/2 hour session. Almost 300 people turned out in City Park to take part in Yoga Rocks the Park! weekly yoga class. Well known yoga instructors Tina Porter and Patrick Harrington led the class while Lil Sum’n Sum’n played music in the band shell. Yoga Rocks the Park! is a weekly summer-long gathering held in Denver’s City Park and Alamo Plactia Park every Sunday until September 25th. Organizers say the goal is to have people connect through yoga, meditation and music to discover our shared enlightened nature. Each week Yoga Rocks the Park offers heart-opening live music, instruction from top local and national instructors, a fun and diverse vendor area. Yoga Rocks the Park! donates a percentage of sponsorship and vendor contributions to Colorado-based, non-profit Yoga World Reach which offers yoga and alternative therapy programs to those in need both locally and around the globe.
