Conversations with Trinity Marriott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinity Marriott.

Hi Trinity, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was around ten years old, my brother and my grandma were really interested in photography and I tagged along with them almost every weekend to walk around and take photos. My grandma would enter me into the Longmont photography contest and every once in a while I would place 1st or 2nd on my work and obviously, little Trinity would freak out because I thought it was so cool. Which it kinda was. Anyways, fast forward to junior year of high school. I began taking photos of sports and friends. I got more into it and my dad suggested I start charging for my services. Social media and word by mouth have been the number one reasons as to why I’m where I’m at now. I absolutely love what I do and I’m so thankful for all of my clients!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. There will always be obstacles and struggles along the way but that’s what makes everyone stronger. A big obstacle of mine was finding my style. I would stay up really late editing photos trying to get a style going but it got to the point where I wasn’t happy with anything I was producing. I told myself I needed to stop photography because I’ve hit a bump that I couldn’t get over. I would stop posting on social media because I hated what I had but that lead to less clientele. Thankfully I didn’t stop what I was doing! I pushed through and with the help from other photographers I got my confidence back and I’ve finally found my style!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Colorado Portrait Photographer. I specialize in portraits such as, senior portraits, couples, families, & pretty much anything else if another person is in front of the camera! I started out as a nature photographer but portraits stole my heart. I’m definitely most proud of the fact I started my whole business by myself. From my website to getting clientele. Portrait photographers are everywhere and it’s definitely hard to find the right person but I believe that gaining the trust of a client right up from is what I strive for the most. My clients aren’t just clients, they’re new relationships/friendships! I truly believe in becoming close with the people I work with to make their sessions more personalized and to make them feel truly comfortable.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a child, I was very adventurous. My brother and I would ride around town on our bikes exploring new places. I wasn’t very interested in many things other than exploring, Friends the TV show, and hanging out with my neighbors almost every day. Although, in middle school a friend and I thought we would become Youtubers so we would film in my room and talk about anything and everything. Glad that phase didn’t stick! Growing up I was mainly an introvert but then high school hit and I began talking to anyone I could. Finally, here I am, little Trinity never thought she would be where she is now. Especially with my photography.
