Exploring Life & Business with J Baehr and Gabe Westen of Endgrain Intimate

Today we’d like to introduce you to J Baehr. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Gabe and J worked separately in wood and leather, and our shared love for the Kinky Community helped us join forces to start Endgrain Intimate, almost by accident. Three years in, we’ve cultivated a wonderful community of support and improved every aspect of our business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our main challenge has been with marketing; as an adult lifestyle brand, we have to be very careful about how we present and describe our products on various platforms, especially on social media. We rely very much on word of mouth to help grow our community, so we’re grateful for the opportunity to talk with you!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Endgrain Intimate Ltd. is a creative partnership between J. Baehr and Gabe Westen based just outside Boulder. We design and produce unique, handmade BDSM/Kink accessories from hardwood and leather, specifically impact toys (think floggers, paddles, riding crops, etc.) and various types of restraints.

We operate under a broad policy of accessibility and intersectionality; whether you’re seeking an affordable entry-point or a lavish custom piece to compliment your collection, we strive to create beautiful, durable items for every Body and play style.

Since such a large portion of our business is custom, we have many great opportunities to connect with our audience as it grows. This helps us keep up with the wants, needs, trends, and innovations in the Kink community both locally and at large.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for custom inquiries!
