Inspiring Conversations with Katerina Stameris of Katalyst Living, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katerina Stameris.

Hi Katerina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story started with a drop kick from the universe. I’ve known for the past seven years that my heart belongs in the Health + Wellness space. Yoga, nutrition, and energy work are where I’ve found the greatest healing, support, and inner wisdom that has led me to myself. When I had this realization, I was working a corporate job in hotel sales in the suburbs of Massachusetts, a far cry from the big vision I had for myself. I remember crying at the end of a yoga class in savasana when I was living in Boston because I knew the path that I wanted to be on, but was overwhelmed with all of the steps I needed to take to get there. I just wanted to help others feel happy and connected to their bodies and minds, like I had learned to experience through my own healing journey.

Fast forward to now: I’m living in Denver doing just that. I left my corporate job in educational travel in November 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, to start my own business: Katalyst Living. I’m a big proponent of building the plane while you fly it, and started my Holistic Health Coaching practice before I even graduated from my health + nutrition coaching school at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. They told us we were ready to start coaching midway through our program, and that is exactly what I did.

Now, three months into being my own boss, I find myself filled with immense gratitude daily that I get to do what I do. All because I took the leap that many don’t feel confident taking. And I understand why! I have my days where I doubt my own abilities and if I’m cut out for this solopreneur life, because I’m human. I went back and forth before launching; to stay in the safe bubble of employment with benefits, or to follow my wild crazy dream of uplifting society my way. Ultimately I knew deep in my gut that is new chapter was the clear next step of my journey. I had to seize the moment. I help individuals in their 20’s and 30’s break free from stale energy cycles that hold them back from living their truth so they can rise as their highest selves.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I hadn’t planned on starting my business until the Spring/Summer of 2021, even though I went live in November. I was let go from my corporate job. I was told that the position wasn’t working out, and that I’d have to begin looking at alternative roles at the company. This came out of nowhere and was not handled well. I was completely blindsided and was filled with anger, anxiety, and sadness. I decided that I could not stay at a company that under-valued me while upholding my own sense of self-worth. So I left! I can still look back and have warm feelings about the company, where I spent the last five years of my life, as I made connections with good-hearted humans and learned valuable coaching skills that I use today. But man, it shook me up for a little while! I believe in divine timing, and this truly was what I needed to get the ball rolling on my own.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in helping my clients integrate nutrition, health + wellness, and mindfulness techniques into their daily lives. I do this by encouraging my people to break the rules. To question what they’ve been taught, and to color outside of the lines. It’s much more than just focusing on physical health, which is what makes Katalyst Living different from many Health Coaches out there. Next Level Health is my 1:1 offering. It’s a private six month transformational health and life coaching program for individuals seeking to upgrade their overall well-being. During out six months together, we start with goal setting.

We then focus on the physical body. This includes what they eat, how they eat it, how they feel physically, and moving their bodies in ways they want to; not because they have to. I’m also part life coaching, so I help my clients move through sticky areas of their life like their career, relationships, home life, etc. with ease. I work with them on re-wiring their mindsets to a place of full presence and empowerment.

How do you define success?
Success is feeling peace, happiness, and fulfillment in your daily life.
