Thanks for sharing your story with us Taryn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
You ever wake up and avoid looking in the mirror? Eat a cookie and hate yourself for it because you just keep saying that you’re going to eat healthier and then you keep falling off track? That was me. I was just at a place that I was done with my own excuses. We all to reach that place where we are DONE! Enough is enough and we are willing to do anything to make changes and be different. Over the next few years, I got back into workout classes, tried many at home programs, did anything to get out and be active. Guess what, I did lose some weight but I still was not overly happy with my progress based on how hard I was working. I did shake meal replacements, tried saying no to every “bad” food out there… but I found it difficult to be such a one track mind in this world of amazing carbs. That is when I stumbled upon Macronutrients.
There is a need for teaching everyday people about nutrition and how to fuel their bodies. I have had two years with educating clients, teaching balance, and pushing them to do things they don’t want to on their own. Having a coach is all about having motivation, accountability and someone who helps you through the curve balls that typically throw people off track and into bad habits.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No well-accomplished journey is easy! There are struggles, temptations and lack of motivation some days that can feel overpowering. I have had days where I eat half a box of cookies, physical injuries that require me to rethink my training or days that get busy with life happening around me. I have two kids and that alone can make it hard to achieve everything I set out for in a day. Advice? This journey is not all or nothing. Success is about is waking up everyday ready to be better than you were yesterday. Learn from the weak moments and come back stronger! It is time management. Schedule that time for yourself like you would schedule a work meeting. You are worth it!

I create custom meal plans around foods my clients are excited and comfortable with. We create workouts based on their equipment and time available. I check in every couple of days to make sure they are hitting their goals and getting questions answered. I help them around things like eating out for social gatherings, make small changes to form new habits and remind them of all the good they are doing for themselves. It can be hard to always see the progress you are making when you’re working so hard day in and day out.
What sets me apart? Well, everything is custom! I know we all like different food, we have different goals and time available. I want to show you it is all possible! I am known for my “no excuses” mentality. There is always a way to your goal, I am here to show you all the options you have to get there. I am proud to be working along with my clients on my own goals. I am practicing the very things I preach every single day. I am a Figure Universe PRO and compete with other natural bodybuilders across the world. This brings BIG goals, so I am right there with my clients making my own changes and trying to find time with two young kids, my husband, my job and all the extra things I am involved with. We are all busy, it’s about making time for productive things.
