Lizzy, it’s been too long since we last connected. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with our community again. Some readers might have missed our prior conversations, so maybe you can kick things off for us with a quick intro?
My name is Lizzy Brodie. I’m a 35 year old mother of 1, business owner and dream chaser. Being a mother is one incredible job that I’m proud to have and second to that is helping people achieve success as well as providing inspiration to do so. I have a Hip-Hop/Culture based blog that i launched 8 years ago. In 2018 I launched Lizzy Brodie Consulting as well as The Hustler’s Brunch. I aspire to inspire others with my story, my knowledge and experience.

Alright so let’s talk about your goals – what should we know?
I love consulting with clients- figuring out what their own goals are and diving them tools and resources to achieve those goals. I hope to continue growing my consulting business and client list as much as I can. The Hustler’s Brunch is also a big focus for me right now. I plan on taking this event and making it national down the road as a traveling event. I have some new partners on this venture and we are so excited to nurture The Hustler’s Brunch and create as much value behind it as we can. The brand of The Hustler’s Brunch is really focused around everyone who is chasing a dream. I can’t wait to see how this continues to grow. If I can create businesses and brands that can one day be passed down to my daughter- I think that is the biggest goal.

How do you learn from failure?
Failure sucks. Period. I have been SO discouraged from failure. In business, you have to have thick skin. You have to be willing to take criticism and ask yourself “How can I do this better next time?” I have gotten pretty good and accepting failure but not giving up. I change my approach, I change my language around what I’m talking about, I focus on new tactics and skills to achieve goals. Nothing is impossible, everything can be achieved. But you’ll never achieve it by giving up. Failure is an essential part of success. Fall seven times, stand up eight.

What drives you?
My daughter have given me a drive that I can’t get elsewhere. I want to be the best version of myself for her and in return that best version of me spills into other parts of my life, including my business. My potential drives me, too. Knowing what I am capable of, trusting my vision, trusting my journey drives me every day. It’s a marathon like the late, great Nipsey Hussle said and I hold that mindset close to me every day.

It was so great to reconnect. One last question – how can our readers connect with you, learn more or support you?
