Alexa, it’s been too long since we last connected. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with our community again. Some readers might have missed our prior conversations, so maybe you can kick things off for us with a quick intro?
I’m Alexa, owner & founder of Yummy Lotus. Yummy Lotus is a gourmet jam company with a specialty in pepper jams. They are vegan, gluten free and small batch crafted with the intent to nourish your soul and enjoy with the ones you love.

How do you choose your flavors?
We love to create unique flavors you don’t typically see in your everyday grocer. Each of our jams are crafted to have a multi-layered experience where each flavor stands on its own but also complements each other in perfect harmony. It all started with the jalapeño chipotle jam but quickly grew from there to satisfy our flavor cravings! We also love that each of our jams is a completely different experience from the next so you rarely see us using the same ingredients in multiple jams.

I see you just rebranded. What brought on the desire to change your look?
We wanted to take our company and branding to the next level. It all started with wanting to create a more store ready label which turned into recreating a logo that could stand on its own and really encompass all that Yummy Lotus stands for. We are so excited to finally share the final product with the world!

When it comes to running your business, what is most important to you?
The most important things to us are, quality and customer service. It’s super important that you get the quality and consistency you expect and deserve and we are only as successful as our customers make us. So, making sure they are happy, greeted with a warm welcome and that we take extra steps to ensure their experience is memorable is type priority.

Yummy Lotus is a unique name for a jam company. How did you decide to name your company this?
A unique name gets remembered easier. I love that our name is a little mysterious of what we do but with the word Yummy and a tagline of Nourish Your Soul, you just know it’s going to be good! I knew I wanted to create yummy food that people could gather around and enjoy with those they loved and If you’ve had our jam you know it’s just down right YUMMY. So, it seemed like the perfect choice to highlight it! And the lotus flower is one of my favorites and has a life cycle unlike any other plant. With its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning, sparklingly clean. In many cultures, this process associates the flower with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment. It’s a beautiful reminder that everyday has a fresh start and that it’s possible to rise from adversities and have a beautiful outcome. And that’s how the name Yummy Lotus was born.
