Meet Brandon & Brittany Kelly

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon & Brittany Kelly.

Hi Brandon & Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We travel full-time in an RV creating videos and sharing them with the world on TikTok and Instagram not only sharing our lives with everyone but also teaching people the things we have learned about the RV lifestyle and just how anyone can do what we are doing. We travel full-time living and working in our RV and here is our story. We met in Maui while the two of us lived there. While we were living there a friend of mine invited me to the beach one day to hang out with some coworkers. When I got there it was my buddy and his wife and another guy and girl. The girl was actually Brittany.

While we were there she tried many times to talk to me, but I kind of ignored her. After the leaving the beach that day I asked my buddy Colin who the girl was at the beach. He explained to me that was B Money (aka Brittany). I asked him how long her and the other guy had been dating and he explained they were not dating and only co-workers. I now felt like a complete idiot not knowing she was single. That night I bought the largest bouquet of flowers I could buy and sent them with my buddy to his work the next morning on his dirt bike to B Money. After waiting all day and keeping me very anxious she finally called and here we are almost 3 years later. Shortly after we started dating on Maui we adopted a dog from the local animal shelter. He was an older dog and the day we got him he looked pretty rough but we fell instantly in love with him. We could tell that he had never really been loved or taken care of but he instantly became a part of the family. That is our older dog Nash.

After covid hit Maui things got really hard on everyone on the islands so we decided at not even a year of dating it was time to move back to the mainland. We packed our bag, got the dog on the plane moved to Texas (my home state). Shortly after moving to Texas, we got our second dog Kalani as a puppy and Nash was not excited. He hated her for probably the first three months but now they are inseparable. The only problem was after getting to Texas it wasn’t long until we realized just how much we missed the beach and having something to do. Neither one of us are really into the city life and going to bars so we decided to move to Florida. We absolutely loved Florida and thought that it could be our forever home. After starting to look at how much houses were and how crazy the housing market is we decided that buying a house right then would not have made much sense. One day I had the bright idea of buying an RV and traveling the country. When I mentioned it to Brittany the words out of her mouth were “Where do I sign”??? Brittany has loved travel her whole life so it was a no-brainer for her. We knew it wouldn’t be easy and we knew it was going to be a lot of change but we are always up for a challenge. We sold her car, traded my car for a 2-door Jeep Wrangler and used the money from selling her car as a down payment for the RV.

Finding the RV was not easy. It took about a month of going to many dealerships and finally found the perfect one on Facebook Marketplace. Being neither one of us are rich nor do we have anyone throwing money at us for this adventure we would have to find jobs that would support this lifestyle. Brittany found a job as a remote Physical Therapist assistant and also a social media creator for a company in Maui and I found a remote job working for an internet company.

Once we both had our jobs, the car and the RV we started selling everything we owned and then the day came. We hit the road.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Our first week in the RV we had the jeep broke down, Nash (our older dog) got sick and we had a water leak behind the fridge. By the third week, we were involved in an accident where an 18-wheeler ran into the side of us while driving down the highway and a slide cover had broken. We were sitting there one night and looked at each other and smiled and said that even with all the stuff breaking and obstacles we had to face in the first month we absolutely loved this lifestyle. I will say that it is not for everyone. I am very good with fixing things and not afraid to get my hands dirty. Brittany is very organized and great at keeping me in line so we really balance everything to make this work for us.

Our first month we went from Florida to Indiana to visit family, Indiana to Colorado to see friends, to Moab were our friends that introduced us flew out to go Jeeping then down to Albuquerque, NM and to TX for a friend’s wedding and to see family. We do not see ourselves leaving this lifestyle anytime soon and are excited about our wedding coming up next year in Maui then back to continue to travel the country.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Brittany works as a remote PTA (physical therapist assistant) and also works as a social media creator. Brandon works remotely for an Internet company.
