Meet Brian Koo of Koo Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Koo.

Brian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my Film career about three years ago in 2016 by being an apprentice under the Director Alin Bijan in Dallas. Then I moved to Denver in 2017 to further my career in Film. I got onto my first professional movie set that year as well for the movie “Diamond In The Rough.”

I am currently the Head Producer for the Movie “Milkman.” It is a local movie being produced here in Denver with an all Asian cast. We plan to premiere it this October at the Telluride Horror Show. I got to where I am today by staying persistent and keeping my head on the bigger picture.

When I first started, I didn’t have any connections in the industry at all. I was at the very bottom of the pyramid, and I am slowly moving up the ladder. Anyone can achieve there dreams by staying focused on your goal.

I am always willing to help people achieve their dreams. I want people to be successful in life. Thank you so much for reading my story, now let’s get out there and become legends!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it definitely was not a smooth road. There were definitely alot of struggles. At some points, I would eat out of vending machines for weeks on end and just trying to save up enough just to pay my rent. I was carless for a very long time and had to resort to public transportation, walking and taking Uber’s/Lyfts. I was homeless and living at a motel for a brief amount of time. Even though there were alot of obstacles, I suffered through the hard times, and I am making my way out of it.

Achieving your dream is not easy, so that’s why while I was trying to travel on a smooth road I still got out into the field and got experience in what I wanted to do even if it was unpaid. If you can’t do any work for free, then you won’t be able to make it in this industry because alot of it is about passion and integrity, not about the money.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Koo Productions – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My business is all about Film Production, and I specialize in anything from Directing to acting. I have experience with Editing, Directing, Camera Operator, Audio Recordist, Producing and acting. I can do pretty much anything on set, and I love to get my hands dirty!

I love to stay busy on set and make sure everything is running smoothly! I am most proud of becoming the Head Producer of the movie “Milkman.” What sets me apart from others is that I am Korean and I am trying to make a difference in the world of Film

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future consist of having my very own successful production company with a full working studio so an entire movie could be shot there 24/7 no problems. I’m also aspiring to become a Director that is my ultimate goal but, I’m skilled in everything behind the scenes and on camera as an actor as well.

I have plans on achieving great things with acting and everything that goes on behind the scenes. I’d never thought I’d make it this far but, I have, and I haven’t even reached half my destination to my goal yet! With a positive mental attitude and dedication, passion and desire you can achieve anything including your dreams.
