Meet Delisa Novak of 212 Degrees Fitness in Littleton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Delisa Novak.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a NASM certified personal trainer and Yoga Fit certified Yoga instructor with over 15 years of training experience. My health and fitness career began as a kickboxing/boxing instructor, which eventually turned into a passion for competing and coaching in these sports. I have competed in both Boxing and Muay Thai. I won the Golden Gloves 2009 Masters division in my weight class.

In 2012, I competed in my first bodybuilding competition, where I took 2nd place in my class. I loved the dedication and commitment it took to do a show, so I competed once again in 2013 and took 3rd place in the Northern Colorado Physique competition. It is amazing to watch your body transform with a little hard work, discipline, and a solid nutrition plan. These are the principles for a healthy lifestyle I implement into our programs at 212 Degrees Fitness. I have always had a trainer/cheerleader in my corner, and that is exactly what I want to be for my personal training clients! There is nothing more rewarding than watching people reach their goals and become stronger, healthier, and more confident in the process — no matter what that goal may be!

Has it been a smooth road?
As with any business, there are some struggles and bumps in the road. It can be challenging getting the word out to the community about our business and exactly what we offer at 212 Degrees Fitness. I work hard everyday to find new, creative ways to market my growing fitness business.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with 212 Degrees Fitness – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
At 212° Fitness, we specialize in small group fitness classes, boot camps, kickboxing, and personal training. We are also growing our partner and semi-private training programs. I am so excited to partner with the Parkinson Association of the Rockies to offer their Power Punch Boxing classes at 212 starting this month. It is an absolute honor to be able to bring these classes to my community and help those fighting this disease through fitness. A couple of my favorite things: boxing/kickboxing and helping others find hope and strength through the power of health, wellness, and exercise.

We are known for our non-intimidating, fun, and motivating community that welcomes all fitness levels. We are also known to support our community through hosting charitable/fundraising events. I am so proud of the community we have built within our four walls. I love how my trainers and members are friendly and greet everyone by name. We have a ton of fun while getting a great workout in. My trainers have been known to break out in dance and song during workouts – fun way to keep our members entertained while working out. 😉  We take the time to get to know each and every one of our members, and our members have developed lifelong friendships, too!

I feel that what sets us apart from other gyms in my area is that no one in my fitness family is just a number or another face in the crowd. We truly do work side by side with our clients and support them fully through their health and fitness journey.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how close-knit our city is. It’s still somewhat small (in my opinion) despite the fact that Denver’s population is booming. Littleton is a super friendly community supportive of our local businesses. I would love to see more locally owned dining options, but it seems like we are starting to head that direction.
