Hi Dion, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
I’m Dion Studinski, owner of Ancillary K9. I am a University of North Dakota graduate and extremely passionate about working with you to train your dog. I’m certified in Dog Behavior and Training, USCA Protection Helper Classified, AKC Evaluator, and am also in the International Association of Professional Dog Trainers. My hope is that all of our clients will become so well versed in dog training, that training will become second nature them. I was voted one of Denver, Colorado’s top trainers in 2018 and Ancillary K9 is rated 5 stars on all forms of social media and Google.
What are some common pitfalls people experience when hiring a dog trainer?
When hiring a dog trainer, you have to worry about whether they are qualified, if they use the right tools to lead you and your dog to success, and if the trainer cares about you succeeding as a dog owner. At Ancillary K9, we care about you as a dog owner, and we want your dog to be performing as a model pet so that other dog owners look at you and say, “How did you get your dog to be that well behaved”?
What training tools or approaches do you use in your training?
Ancillary K9 uses first-rate tools and approaches that will give you and your dog an optimum chance for success.
Any tips to help people be more successful with their dogs?
First, whether you use Ancillary K9 or another company, make sure that you follow the trainer’s recommendations, because there is nothing worse than a dog owner blaming the dog for the lack of success they have; consistency with your dog is vital. We want you to gain so much knowledge that you feel like you can train any dog.
It was so great to reconnect. One last question – how can our readers connect with you, learn more or support you?
You can find us at AncillaryK9.com and once you are a part of the team, you will have 24/7 text, phone, and email support. You will also have access to our online training resources, so you’re never alone when working with us.
