Meet Jane Howard of ScooTours Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jane Howard.

Jane, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My husband and I love to travel, and we love adventures of many kinds. When we visit new places, our favorite experiences are those in which we learn local stories that show a city’s true colors. We decided to combine our love for local stories and adventure and create an experience that allows others to experience the best parts of Denver while having a blast on a Vespa!

We started out in 2012 with seven scooters, and now we have a fleet of around 30. We love to connect with our guests, and our goal is to make sure that each scooter experience gives our guests a taste of our favorite city. Every day we get to share the beauty and energy of Denver with our guests and explore the sights and sounds of the city while scooting around town is a great day!

We consider ourselves to be ambassadors for the Mile High City and we want visitors to have a better experience in Denver than they even thought they would when they were choosing where to spend their valuable vacation days. Time and time again, we hear from our customers either “the best thing we did in Denver” or “best day on vacation ever.”

The other day, we heard we were the most fun memory of Denver that a guest had from his three visits, even though he got married in Denver on his second visit. That still has us chuckling.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some of our guests have rented scooters at resort locations in other cities and have had a completely different experience than what we offer at ScooTours Denver. We have an excellent safety record, and we take safety very seriously.

To that end, we have to make sure that our guests enjoy some of Denver’s other offerings only after they have returned the scooters to us. We make sure that our guests meet all of our requirements and provide a thorough scootorial to enable them to have the best experience possible. Each guest will take plenty of practice laps before leaving our large parking lot.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
At ScooTours Denver, we provide our guests with a memorable, one-of-a-kind day of exploring the Mile High City. People can’t help but smile while cruising the streets of Denver on the seat of a scooter. We have trained thousands of people to ride our scooters safely with a thorough scootorial, and we offer only the highest quality scooters to our guests. We genuinely love what we do, and we love this city, and we are proud that this translates into an unbeatable customer service experience for our guests.

Some of our guests choose to head out on their own adventure to explore this city and see places that they wouldn’t be able to access via foot or bicycle including routes to Lookout Mountain in Golden or Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Being able to park at any bike rack on sidewalks makes it super easy to hop on and off when you want a great photo or see a place you want to visit. Even though most of our customers are visitors who have never been here before, our easy maps, downloadable loops, and directions make the experience simple and fun. Nobody gets lost. The mountains are to the west. When heading back, look for the tall buildings. Simple.

Our other offering is a Guided Tour on Vespas which showcases the history, architecture, and local lore of interesting neighborhoods, art, industry, and recreation. We are continually adding to the types of tours that we offer in order to provide interesting experiences for all of our guests.
