Meet Jeanne Oliver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeanne Oliver.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jeanne. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We have built our creative business over the past 11 years. We started with a small Etsy shop, manufactured our own soft goods for many years, created and manage an online creative network with art + lifestyle workshops with over 45,000 members, sell original art + prints, a keynote speaker at large business and women’s workshops around the US, teach live art workshops in the US and abroad, collaborate with artists from all over the world and last year my first book, The Painted Art Journal, was released.

My journey has been a journey of second chances and not waiting one more day to live the creative life I was made to live.

Has it been a smooth road?
No road is smooth when it comes to building a business, balancing family life and being true to your creativity. I believe that is why it is so important to be clear about how you want your life to look and feel. There are so many different roads we could go down but if we are clear about what we want for our life, family and business than our decisions should be bringing us closer to that and not farther away. This is something we have to ask ourselves each day and that often means saying no to beautiful offerings that are just not in line with what we are needing to be healthy, rested, together, creative.

What else should our readers know?
We have created an online art school where you can take art and lifestyle workshops from teachers from around the world in the convenience of your own home at any time. All of our content has been pre-recorded and you have lifetime access. I am so proud of our beautiful and rich content that is affordable. We get daily confirmation of how art truly can change your life and the power of connecting with your creativity.

We also offer live art and home workshops here in my studio in Castle Rock. This allows us six times a year to welcome other creatives to our home, land, and studio.

One of the areas that set us apart is that this business was built at home and even all of these years later, it continues to grow at home. This business started looking very different than it does today and my children were all little when it began but today we all play an important role in its growth and success. I am so proud to be a mom and wife with such a thriving and successful business that was possible because I was supported from the beginning. Our children have learned from a young age how to use their own giftings and I hope this will help them to walk out their strengths, gifts, and passions earlier than I did.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
When you are an entrepreneur it can be easy to put your head down and keep working but we all need fresh air and that can come through connecting with other creatives and business owners. Denver is full of inspiration and opportunities to connect. Whether you are just starting out or even if you are deep into your business… Denver has some of the best opportunities for growth, learning, and inspiration.
