Today we’d like to introduce you to Joel Long.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Joel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started tattooing on the 4th of July 1992 under the tutelage of Bruce Chung. After a few years in Atlanta, I started working in Miami for Ken Cameron after about seven years there I have been a bolder ink here in Colorado for about the last 18 years. Bruce turned me on to the tattoo times which have the best and my favorite styles of tattooing Japanese, Americana, some weirdo art and just good all-around tattooing.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has been anything but easy but the main thing that seems to be Troublesome for most is just learning tattooing properly and doing it the way it should be done and after a while one’s desire for doing this the right way becomes stronger.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bolder Ink – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
A bolder ink we do all good styles of tattooing. Personally, I like to specialize in large-scale Japanese, Americana, and a bit of weirdo art and anything that looks good. Here at Bolder ink, we definitely believe that the right job for the right person is what’s most important therefore we try to align peoples styles with the customer to give people the best conclusion to their inquiry of tattooing.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
No big plans really just keep doing what I’m doing the best I can in the most efficient and best end result that I can get.
