Meet Kelsey Bledsoe of Birch and Honey Collective in Southeast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Bledsoe.

Kelsey, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had a love for planning! Birthday parties, anniversary parties – you name it. I’ve been planning events for family and friends for as long as I can remember. Always looking forward to the next best thing. Fast forward a bit, I’ve been married to my husband for three years now, and we have two year old twin boys. When my twins were infants, I knew I would be going back to work eventually, that I would need to help support the family. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to build something for myself, do something that I LOVED doing everyday. After giving it much thought, starting a wedding planning business seemed like the obvious choice. Let me tell you, it was the right one too! Helping couples plan their wedding day has been so fulfilling – mentally and emotionally. I’m validated in my career choice daily!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It actually hasn’t been too bad! I mean, aside from launching my business just months before COVID happened. I spent most of quarantine researching business strategy, working on a social media presence and networking my butt off. Which has been so fulfilling! Some of my greatest friends, I’ve met this year through networking opportunities. If you’re in the wedding industry, you know what a struggle this year has been, not to mention the impact this year has had on 2020 couples. With that being said, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with amazing couples so far! This year has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least, but I’ve been blessed with so many amazing opportunities – and it’s just the beginning.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Birch and Honey Collective – what should we know?
