Meet Marc Gaudreault of Trubucha

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marc Gaudreault.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Marc. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
We started off doing the farmers market and was just a hobby. As soon as we started doing the farmers market the business just took off. Four months after starting the company we started to look to open a taproom and production facility. IN November 2017 our facility and taproom opened up.

Currently, we are on tap in 50 to 60 locations including coffee shops, breweries, and specialty stores. This summer we will be doing 30 farmers markets per week along with special events. In addition, we have several new products that are launching 1. a CBD kombucha 2. Hun Kombucha (kombucha made with honey) and a fresh ginger beer.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Lots of struggle along the way! Our facility was built with the blood, sweat, and tears of me and my wife. While opening the taproom, our oldest daughter who was three 1/3 went into Children’s Hospital with bacterial pneumonia, and while she was in there my wife went into labor with our second daughter so for 24 hours, I was between two hospitals.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Trubucha – what should we know?
Community and great kombucha made the way all companies should make it. We use no plastics throughout the process. We are very transparent, and much of our facility can be viewed from the taproom. We cut no corners.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Friends and neighbors. Our neighbors are who got us to start the business to begin with, and they helped us with the markets the first two years.
