Meet Morgan Sheridan of Foundation Chiropractic in South Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Sheridan.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Morgan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been adjusted since less than a week old. I grew up getting adjusted as part of our normal routine. I originally went to school for Business and Exercise Science, but after a rugby injury left me with my first ever ear infection, my path changed. I was able to avoid an antibiotic and had total pain relief after getting adjusted. My chiropractor suggested I go to graduate school and become a chiropractor.

I started chiropractic school with the intention of focusing on helping athletes, but when I started to learn what a huge impact I could have, I had a profound shift toward pediatric care.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I decided to start my practice when my son was just over a year old. This was a challenge from the start trying to balance my two babies (my practice and my son). I have struggled with stretching myself a bit to thin trying to accommodate patients to get their kiddos in and also not miss out on spending time with my son and daughter. I started to shift my schedule to see patients on the weekend and feel I have finally found a great balance. I am able to spend most of the week with my kids and still accommodate my patients to get their kiddos in on weekends when they are not juggling school and activity schedules.

Foundation Chiropractic – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I practice neurostructural chiropractic. I look for primary shifts in the spine and cranial bones that when corrected, often lead to secondary symptoms resolving. Some of the secondary symptoms that parents often bring their kids in for include breastfeeding issues, colic, ear infections, constipation or digestive issues, learning or behavior issues, and bedwetting. I also have a passion for helping the autism and neuropsychiatric populations. Narrowing my focus to doing what I love and am great at has really helped my practice, my patients and my work-life balance.

I am very proud of my training specific to family care and the pediatric population. I received my CACCP certification from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. I have also been accepted to their diplomate program, which is the highest post-doctorate training specific to pediatric care.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me success is knowing that I have made a difference in the world. I can say with complete confidence that I have positively affected the trajectory for many kids lives. I rest well knowing that.
