Meet O.G. Quest

Today we’d like to introduce you to O.G. Quest.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a rapper/entrepreneur from Florence SC. Started out with humble beginnings from the projects to college. Music has always been my medicine for anything I dealt with. I grew up listening to oldies like Earth Wind and Fire to 2 pac, master P, Jeezy, Gucci, T.I., Wayne, Boosie and 50 cents. My favorites rappers out now is J Cole, Kevin Gates, & Future.” Every thing else seems good to me. My style of music has elements of my upbringing and life lesson I learned.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes, being a music recording artist/entrepreneur has its moments, where it can be a smooth and bumpy ride. The thing I struggle with the most is time. I feel like there is never enough time in the day to accomplish my objectives.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As an independent music recording artist, I’m always on the go. Studio and the gym are an important part of my daily routine. My team and I meet for one to three hours a day to discuss upcoming events, marketing strategies, how to improve on areas, and recording new music. On the entrepreneur side of things, I’m consistently looking for ways to input my brand into new and emerging markets. The thing I’m most proud of is the launch of my own shoe line last fall name, “OG 1’S. “ Just recently, became a brand ambassador for an urban clothing line name “Street Baby.” What set me apart from others that do what I do is my attention to detail and my grind.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see the blockchain cause a big shift in how consumers consume music and how the record labels and artists’ music deals are structured.
