Meet Pia Beck of Curate Well Co. in Highlands, RiNo, Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pia Beck.

Pia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I woke up one morning and realized the life I was living was so far off from what I wanted.

I’d been interested in wellness in different forms for about a decade, and I was technically well: I ate all the right things, exercised 5+ times a week in all the right ways, slept well, had clear skin, and was “achieving” the things I set out to. From the outside, I looked like a perfect picture of wellness. But I was miserable. I was crazy busy, chronically stressed, unfulfilled in my work, and nowhere near living up to my potential. I was burnt out and my self-worth was the lowest it had ever been. While I was “technically” healthy, I was actually very unwell. I knew I needed a radical shift.

Deep down, I’ve always known I wanted to start my own business, but I had this false belief that I had to accomplish X, Y, and Z before I’d be “qualified” to do that. Once I woke up to the fact that I was able to curate my life exactly as I wanted it to be, right now, my world changed.

I believe that every single person has the ability and the right to curate a life they’re absolutely in love with, which starts with practical, sustainable wellness. I believe you shouldn’t have to hustle for your wellness, I believe willpower doesn’t work, and I think that “earning” your worth means you’ll never be worthy. I believe your wellness should work for you, not the other way around.

I combine my training as a certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner and registered yoga teacher, and lifelong experience as a recovering Type A to help my clients ditch harmful habits, limiting beliefs and burnout. I’m their partner, advocate, and coach as they learn and become empowered to establish a balanced relationship with food, regain energy by making independent, supportive diet + lifestyle choices, and set healthy boundaries. I provide the right kind of accountability, individualized structures and frameworks, guidance through simple yet actionable goal-setting, and unconditional support to help my clients step into their power and authenticity in their physical wellness and more importantly in all areas of their lives.

My clients graduate from my programs with confidence, intuition, and knowledge to cause wellness for themselves indefinitely. They have a deeper understanding of their authenticity and how to use it to realize their full potential. They feel seen and loved, with a new understanding of choice, and with tangible tools to curate the life they’ve always wanted.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hah! Is it ever? As a lifelong list-maker, structure-craver and achiever, my exact thought when I started my business was, “Ok, I’ll just do this, no sweat.” and I definitely thought it would be a smooth road. I envisioned growing my business as six leaps to major benchmarks, and then I will have arrived at “success.”

Turns out, it’s actually about a million very small steps every single day that slowly but surely add up. I’ve learned to celebrate the small victories, trust that daily hard work pays off over time, and to surround myself with people who support me, encourage me, and believe in me — and vice versa.

In some ways, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. There are new challenges and obstacles every day. It pushes me mentally, physically, creatively, emotionally, and logistically. It tests my patience and requires me to flex my get back up muscle every few hours. It takes more perseverance than anything I’ve ever done.

In other ways, it so easy. I’m so aligned with my purpose and vision, and I’m living the life I’ve always dreamed of every day. I feel the most myself that I ever have.

The biggest struggle AND win has been stepping into myself. Owning who I am, showing up in my full potential to make a difference for other people, being vulnerable in putting myself out there for the world to see, and causing a life-changing experience for everyone I work with.

Please tell us about Curate Well Co.
I own Curate Well Co., which offers wellness coaching for badass women that empowers them to curate the life they’ve always wanted, powerfully and authentically.

I work with clients who have tried every 30-day reset there is, and can’t sustain lasting results in their physical wellness. They feel sluggish, bloated, brain foggy and their skin has seen better days. Their relationship with food isn’t working for them: it causes stress, negative self-talk, lack of confidence and physical implications as well. Many times, they’re burnt out. They hustle for everything in their lives: that promotion, to their lunch meeting, between errands, for their kids, for their worth, and they’ve tried hustling for their wellness without success – they still don’t feel comfortable or confident in their bodies. Something is holding them back from the vision of wellness they have for themselves, but they can’t make the shift – they’re feeling stuck.

Through my 90 day, one-on-one and group coaching programs, I provide the right kind of accountability for their lifestyle, tendencies, and needs. Each session has a topic. Then, key takeaways, easy to understand suggestions, deliverables (workbooks, reference docs, and checklists, etc.) and relevant resources are shared in an easy-to-access format to continue the work outside the session. My online portal reinforces supportive conversation, authentic community, and ongoing growth.

I create simple, attainable structures and frameworks to set them up for success. I coach them through how to make choices, shift their mindset, and build new habits: the keys to long-term wellness that aren’t provided in an off-the-shelf 30-day reset. I guide them through identifying their vision, teach them how to set concrete, actionable goals, and offer tangible tools to help them see it through. I’m their partner and advocate so they feel validated, seen, and supported as they confidently step into their power, show up authentically, and start causing what they want for themselves.

I’m most proud of creating a platform that allows women to realize that there’s so much more out there for them than jam-packed calendars, short term cleanses and crash diets, still trying to lose that last 15 pounds, and settling for good but not great.

What makes Curate Well Co different is the tangible resources provided. I combine deep nutrition, mindset and movement knowledge with my unique ability to get shit done. I help my clients take that hint of a vision or that deep desire they don’t think is possible, and actually create it in a way that seamlessly fits into their lifestyle, is sustainable long term, is supported by accountability structures and action plans, and is both radically different (from what has been) and radically aligned (with what feels right).

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
When I was a kid, I was always creating: homemade beauty products, a roadside stand selling macrame bracelets, a summer camp for kids, and even my own clothes sometimes. I loved getting fully immersed in an idea and making it happen.
