Today we’d like to introduce you to PufCreativ.
PufCreativ, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After receiving my MBA, I became the marketing and operations manager of a nightclub. I learned a lot but didn’t feel I was working to my full potential; I had a vision to spread knowledge about cannabis so it would have a large positive impact on society. My first job in the cannabis industry screwed me over about a month before I got married. I had no money but a ton of passion and motivation to continue my journey in the cannabis sphere. My business partners initially were a friend from back home who now lived in Colorado, and my intern who also got screwed over by my first job. Proud to say it’s been 3 years, and PufCreativ is still going strong. We’ve even begun to launch a non-cannabis agency, Creativ Collective, and also a program that connects the community, non-profits, and local businesses to the cannabis industry called Cannabis Doing Good. It’s been a wild ride, but I’m very thankful for the journey I’ve experienced thus far.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a very interesting road. Cannabis has a stigma and also can’t be advertised on places like Google, Facebook, and Instagram. That right there has made marketing for companies in this space very organic – which isn’t always the easiest. At any moment a client’s profile or website could be shut down, so we’re always on our toes when strategizing and executing action items. Just today we promoted a charity event we’re hosting this November and our Instagram got disabled without any warning or reason. On top of that, as a start-up marketing agency, there’s a lot of competition out there. I’m proud to say we’ve spent a lot of time developing relationships and networking ourselves with very little start-up capital. Believe it or not, we are still operating on our initial savings from our first year, and, now that we have full-time and part-time employees, we’ve added a whole other dynamic into the mix.

PufCreativ is an innovative cannabis marketing agency. We create strategies and solutions that generate revenue for dispensaries and cannabis brands while establishing a positive reputation within the industry. We provide services like website design & development, SEO, social media management, graphic design, photography, videography, email marketing, and blogging.
We’re proud of all the work we’ve been putting out the past three years because we always strive to constantly improve, bettering ourselves and our brand. I’d say we’re most proud of our event, Night of Awareness (NOA), when we raised $4k for the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault. We’re hosting NOA 2.0 on November 16, 2019!
I’d say our experience, communication skills, and Cannabis Doing Good program are what sets us apart from others.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My wife has been supportive of me since “Day 1”. She’s an attorney so she has been able to legally guide me in the right direction as well. I wouldn’t be where I am without her undying support.
I’d say my passion and motivation stems from my amazing parents. They’ve been entrepreneurs, raised money for charity, and have been supportive of me my whole life. Actually, my mom was never supposed to have children; she now runs her own foundation that donates a substantial amount of money to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia every year.
I’ve also been very lucky to have had amazing business partners since the beginning. I can confidently say that I currently have a team that even the best CEO’s in the world couldn’t have put together. We believe in each other and the direction of the agency, and I definitely feel like we’re a family and not just co-workers.
