Meet Sheri Blosser of Aurora Sober Living

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheri Blosser.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was hopeless and defeated by alcohol. When I finally surrendered to this disease, I went into treatment, followed by sober living. I was blown away of the new life that started to present itself to me. As I continued my new beautiful life in recovery, I knew there were countless others that suffered and didn’t know the solution. I felt obligated to be the stepping stone and pat forward what was so freely given to me. I showed up anywhere I could be of service in the community and soon was blessed with an opportunity to begin my career working in the industry.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t always a pink cloud. Life still happens and I’ve been thrown some curve balls along my journey. I went through a hard divorce, career changes, financial struggles, relationship letdown, loss and death of loved ones….but having transformed the way that I live and think today, I was able to accept and stay grateful for any of life’s changes with faith that a lesson or something better is being present by my higher power.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me today looks a lot different then it did before. I feel more satisfied by mental and spiritual growth than material things or title. My success today is that I get to show up better for all my loved ones and live a life of serenity.
