Today we’d like to introduce you to Bailey Smith.
Bailey, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always loved sharing my tips and tricks with friends, so it was only natural to start a blog. I wanted to have a blog with other gals because I was nervous that I wasn’t enough, to do it on my own. Lots of things fell through and it came down to me making the decision to starting a blog by myself. This led me to my blog’s mission of resonating your inner and outer beauty. As a yoga teacher and full-time blogger, I love both makeup and meditation. I love sharing inspirational quotes just as much as Spring fashion trends. It has been a constant hustle and telling myself that I am worthy, I am strong and I am creative. This industry can be very competitive as well as leaving you feeling like you are not enough as you are…but that’s why my goal in this niche is to leave every person who goes on my page, feeling even BETTER about who they are and where they are in life.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it has been a smooth road, but what road to success is a freshly paved road? It has high highs and low lows, but when you step back and look at your goals, it should be worth it. I want to inspire others to feel their freaking best. Do I always feel that way? NO! But I have found that sharing that raw vulnerability with others can help not only YOU but also others who might feel the same way. The advice I would give to young women who are starting their journey is this – you can’t pour from an empty cup. Make yourself proud with your content, with your captions, with the life that you lead and the success will follow. Is that easy? uhhh no haha! But at the end of the day, if you can step back and be proud of your personal work than really, thats all that matters.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on.
I am a full-time yoga teacher here in Denver, Colorado. I teach around ten classes a week, and I LOVE IT! It’s hard work, but so fulfilling! I get to help people escape their troubles by moving their bodies and challenging their minds on focusing on their breath. I also am a full-time fashion and fitness influencer.
I try to pull things that I’m doing in my current day to day, into my blog so I can share the fun things of “outer beauty”. I get to experiment with a bunch of products, and I am at the mall more times than I would like to admit, to see what the trends are and if they actually look good in everyday life.
My specialty is something that I feel a lot of other fashion bloggers/fitness bloggers don’t do, which is inspire their followers, (but I call them my friends) to love themselves starting from the inside – out.
I am proud of my collaborations with both small companies like Norcross Boutique in West Palm Beach and Danodan Grassworks – these companies live, and breath their products and are a joy to work with, all the way to huge brands like H&M and Adidas who reached out to me to work together and were SO kind even to a tiny microinflunencer like me!
Which women have inspired you in your life?
Just reading this question, a huge smile comes across my face. I find my inspiration from my Mom and my Grandma. My mom would take me shopping as a kid and would love to find the things she saw in the magazines and put them on me. Even to this day, she buys me the best clothes and whenever I go visit her in Arizona, our quality time is spent running ourselves ragged at the mall. My Grandma isn’t with us anymore, but man oh man, she’s my eternal muse. Her fearless, unique style is timeless and edgy at the same time. A lot of what I wear is hers, and I know she gets a kick out of it from heaven.
