Meet Trailblazer Natalya King

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalya King.

Natalya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, my mom a registered nurse, always made natural remedies, concoctions, and just really planted the seed of knowing what you put in your body and on your body. But it wasn’t until I had my son my junior year in college that this really resonated with me. Not only were product labels misleading, but they were also expensive. Then, my son started to get eczema and I started making all his products from baby wipes to body butter. I knew it wasn’t his diet because he was breastfed. After I made these changes, it cleared up and that really gave me the confidence I needed. I started making products for family, friends, professors and anyone who would try.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I would say bumpy. Being a single mom and working longs hours can sometimes create feelings of guilt so I had to learn to find a balance between work, being a mom and self. My advice would be to find your passion, put a plan in place, set short term goals, and to find people who can mentor you. Speak it, believe it.
