Meet Trailblazer Nicole Cabello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Cabello.

Nicole, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, I am a wife, mother of three wonderful children, auto parts specialist, an aspiring fashion model from the little town of Pueblo in southern Colorado. My husband and I met young in school and are what you may call high school sweethearts, despite the fact we come from two entirely different worlds and backgrounds I feel that throughout seventeen years together that we have brought out the best in each other.

A key point in my life when I can say everything changed was when we had our three children. The first two where girls than we had a boy a few years later and that’s when I knew as a mother it was my job to teach them right! Since then, I have tried my best to teach, inspire, support, and encourage them in every way possible.
My eight to five job so to speak is an automotive parts specialist for a local auto parts store and on my off time, I’m an aspiring fashion model.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have always been more of a backroad kind of woman! So, no, the road to the woman I have become was not smooth. A few of the struggles along the way were not easy to overcome. One of the big ones for myself is when we lost a child at birth. Grief is never an easy thing to overcome and continue with a positive mindset. But there are people out there to help you, and get you back up on our feet. Everyone needs some help sometimes so don’t be afraid or embarrassed to ask. Another struggle that I face every day as a petite woman that works in a field dominated by men is overcoming the stereotype as just a woman. I am just as smart and strong as anyone I work with. One thing that really helps with my self-esteem and mindset is every morning I get up and look myself in the mirror and tell myself “I am beautiful and I can do this”!!!!!

We’d love to hear more about your work.
More about what I do is kind of all over the place. My day to day career as an Automotive Parts Specialist. My occupation requires an intense amount of knowledge related to all sorts of different vehicles, witch most woman I have found tend to really struggle with, also the ability to run codes such as VIN numbers of vehicles and cross-referencing auto part numbers of vehicles, as well as good customer service skills are very big part of my profession.

Another very big thing in my professional life is my modeling. I would have to say that is the work that I am most proud of. It all started with my husband telling me to try it and see how it worked. I now have so much fun creating my own expressions of art. I love doing outdoor photo shoots the most but aspire to do much more!

I guess you could say I am most known for a little of both being an Automotive Parts specialist is my occupation but I’m very excited about where my modeling career is going and I’m anxious to see where it will lead.
