Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Joseph.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Samantha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Whenever someone asks me about my story, I never know where to start.
It comes to “which part of my life story you’d like to know,” lol.
I moved to Chicago when I was 15 from Haiti. It was the best thing that could ever happen to me because I escaped abuse. I went on to finish high school putting myself in Columbia college Chicago for fashion Design then Fashion business. Columbia is where I started modeling. A senior asked me to be her model and then, that was it. While I was modeling and being a mom, I decided that I needed more, so I took my other passion and enroll into Le Cordon Bleu Chicago for culinary. Which brought me on building my own business today “MobileChefDenver.”
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been rough because I am still trying to figure out who I am and what I want to do with my business.
I would definitely tell any young person to not let your fears stop you. For the longest time, I’ve feared that I wasn’t good enough to start my own private chef business and it put me behind.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a model and a chef.
As of right now, I’m known for modeling but I’m hoping that soon, I am known as a chef as a private chef as well.
Which women have inspired you in your life?
Teraji P Henson.
She started as a single mom and started her life in LA with little money.
She is the reason why I am going to pursue my other passion… Acting.
