Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Perry.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been a musician and a music journalist, as well as a music booker and promoter, for a long time and a few months ago I decided to start a podcast called Mile High Stash to give the amazing people I interview a better chance to speak for themselves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have struggled with a stutter all my life, and starting a podcast was terrifying (*is* terrifying) but it also feels like that Charles Bukowski line, “What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.”
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a pretty independent self-starter and anyone who’s ever been in my orbit knows that I often have big ideas that come to fruition overnight. It can be a little overwhelming and stressful for me and the people around me, but believing in yourself and your dreams and putting yourself out on a limb is the only way to experience the magic.
Many, many people are smarter and more talented than me but I’d like to think I get things done by working harder than most of those people.
What does success mean to you?
Being able to do what you love and not compromise your true morals.
