Rising Stars: Meet Jasha Foster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasha Foster.

Hi Jasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Jasha Foster, also know as The Road Trip Queen. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to see the world! This love of traveling, mostly in the form of road-tripping across the US, has led to a new and exciting content creator and travel blogging role. I never thought my life path would head in this direction.

Coworkers at school began calling me the “Road Trip Queen” and encouraged me to start blogging about our family travel adventures. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy this and how surprising it would be that people read the things I post! My husband and I now have a goal to get our boys to all 50 states before they graduate high school!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Most of my challenges are related to the limited amount of time that I can travel. My husband and I both have full-time careers. Our boys also have a full schedule in elementary and middle school and little league sporting events. Because we are unable to travel full-time, I don’t always have content to share everyday single day which can cause readers/followers to lose interest.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Besides being a content creator and travel blogger, I am also a full-time teacher! I have taught grades Kindergarten – 3rd grade! I enjoy sharing my love of our country and our amazing travel adventures with my students! I will be completing my 19th year in public education this summer, 15 years as a teacher.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memories center around road trips down to the beach with my family! My parents did not ever fly, which is probably why I enjoy taking road trips now as an adult. We always spent a week in Galveston during the summer.

I didn’t do anything fancy there, just played at the beach and hotel pool every day. But those are some of my most cherished memories. And I have continued the tradition with my boys and we head down to Galveston every year, too!
