Rising Stars: Meet Molly Voigt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly Voigt.

Hi Molly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
In 2012, I received my esthetician license from Hair Dynamic Education Center in Fort Collins. I worked along and under many spa owners, medical directors, and estheticians. Of my passion grew stronger for the aesthetics industry, I knew I wanted something more. In my 5th year, I made the push to start up my own business and on June 10, 2016, All About Me, LLC was created!

In 2015, I received my certification in Eyelash Extensions, and in December 2017, I received my Bella Lash Master Educator certificate. I am blessed to say, this service has taken me where I am today! I have since, created my lash line and education program. All About Me Lash Extensions is where we stand currently.

We are based in Fort Collins, but ship our products throughout the U.S. At our headquarters, we have a lash salon (where we have an amazing team of talented lash artists using our product line), we ship products and allow pick-up orders for locals, and we also offer all lash education to others in the beauty industry! I have steered away from taking clients, and am just focusing on running the product line and helping others succeed! It is a dream!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think any entrepreneur would tell you- IT’S TOUGH! So many ups and downs. Owning a business is not for everyone, and that’s OKAY! I think in this day and age, people tend to encourage entrepreneurship, and while it’s a beautiful thing for some, being an employee or helping someone else with their big picture, is also a great career option!

I would say some major challenges are finding a team that sticks and all gets along! I have been so lucky to have found some amazing employees, who have been with me since day 1. But on the other hand, I’ve also had to deal with some chaos as well. As for manufacturing and educating your product- it would be all the legalities of things, such as trademarks, laws, rules, and regs.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I own a lash salon and a lash extension product line. I also run an education program educating others in the lash industry. We have very high standards at our lash salon and in our education program. My business is very educational at a hands-on level. We focus on educating others in the lash industry to perform the best they can and provide quality work with quality products.

I think what sets me apart most is that I am not a competitive person at all (only with myself), so I think it takes someone special to be able to share your knowledge and want others to succeed in your industry. I love helping people, and I love watching those who use our products grow!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My team! I would not be where I am today if I didn’t have a couple of my girls (they know who they are) by my side since day 1! They help run the salon, educate others, and consistently give their best to this company. We have a really special team, like really special!

We are all friends and work so well together! Also, my husband started helping full-time with the business this past year and has completely helped revamp and rebrand our company. It’s been a blessing. He has the back end of business knowledge, I have the front end of lashing knowledge! It works!
