Rising Stars: Meet Morgan Strychalski

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Strychalski.

Hi Morgan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
During the pandemic, I found myself with a bunch of time on my hands (like everyone else). I downloaded TikTok and thought, those videos are so funny and it looks like a lot of fun, so I deiced to make my first TikTok 🙂 I use to work at the Disneyland Resort in CA and I found a lot of other people missed Disney just like me. I started to follow more Disney-inspired creators and replicate their videos. I also replicated videos of “essential employees” vs. work-for-home employees. I found that a lot of people liked my videos so I did a few baking/cooking TikToks and some with my cat (Elliot). When I started TikTok I wanted to make people laugh and bring a little joy to their day during this hard time. Now I do it because it brings me joy and I love to make people laugh. I currently have 3100 followers on TikTok and hope to continue to grow 🙂

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say there were struggles, but TikTok has an algorithm that sometimes shadows bands creators if they already have a lot of views on multiple videos. You have to strategically plan when to post.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Marketing and Management. I am currently an Administrative Assistant for a small company. I am very organized and pay close attention to detail. I can multitask while prioritizing all projects I am involved in. I am a very dedicated and hard worker.

What does success mean to you?
I define success with being happy with the end product. If you’re studying for a test and you get a C+ when you normally get F’s and you’re happy with the C+ then that is a success. If you post a video and get 1 view I call that success. As long as I am happy with the end product/project/whatever I am working on, I call it a success 🙂
