Hi Taiane, so great to have you join us again. For folks who might have missed our earlier conversations, can you please take a minute to briefly introduce yourself?
Hi there, my name is Taiane Bozzay and I am the owner of Made by Hand Cakes. Our online cake shop is based in Denver and we specialize in creating gourmet cakes with modern designs for all types of events.

One of the things that sets us apart is our ability to deliver our cakes, making us a popular choice for people who want to send cakes as gifts to their loved ones. We take pride in the fact that our cakes are not only delicious but also visually stunning, and we always strive to exceed our customers’ expectations.

If you’re looking for a cake that is not only a treat for your taste buds but also a feast for your eyes, Made by Hand Cakes is the place to go. We can’t wait to help you create the perfect cake for your special occasion!

How did you get started in the cake business, and what inspired you to start your own company?
I’ve always had a passion for baking, and I’ve been making cakes for family and friends for as long as I can remember. In 2021, I made a cake for my husband’s birthday that ended up being a huge hit with everyone who tasted it. People kept telling me that I should start selling my cakes, and that was when I realized that I could turn my passion for baking into a business.

After that, I started taking my cake-making skills more seriously and began to work on perfecting my craft. I started offering my cakes to people in local Facebook groups, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. It was then that I knew that I had found my calling and that I couldn’t stop making cakes.

The joy that I get from seeing people’s reactions to my cakes is indescribable. I love being able to create something that brings people together and helps them celebrate life’s special moments. It’s an honor to be able to share my passion with others through Made by Hand Cakes, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our business.

What makes your cakes and services stand out from those of your competitors?
Our commitment to using all natural ingredients and making every cake from scratch sets us apart from many of our competitors. We believe that the quality of our ingredients is just as important as the aesthetic appeal of our cakes.

In terms of design, we take a minimalist approach, because we believe that less is more when it’s done correctly. We strive to create elegant and sophisticated cakes that are both beautiful and delicious.

Another thing that sets us apart is the convenience that we offer. We know that our clients lead busy lives, and we want to make the process of ordering and receiving our cakes as easy as possible. That’s why we offer online ordering through our website, and we make sure to deliver our cakes directly to our clients. This way, our clients can have peace of mind knowing that their cakes will arrive on time and in perfect condition.

Overall, our commitment to using all natural ingredients, creating minimalist designs, and offering convenient delivery sets us apart from our competitors. We believe that our cakes are a true reflection of our passion for baking, and we can’t wait to share them with you!

What advice would you have for someone who is considering starting their own cake business?
Work on your skills: Before you start your business, make sure you’re really good at making cakes. Practice and take classes so you can make high-quality cakes that people will love.

Make a plan: Write down your goals, figure out who you want to sell your cakes to, and decide how much to charge. Having a plan will help you stay on track.

Meet other cake people: Go to events and join online groups to meet other people who make cakes. Working with others can help you learn new things and get more customers.

Stay organized: Running a business means keeping track of lots of details. Keep notes on your orders, money, and other important stuff so you can stay organized and do your best work.

Use social media: Instagram and Facebook can help you show off your cakes and find new customers. Be sure to post pictures of your best work!

Don’t give up: Starting a business is hard and takes time. If things don’t go perfectly at first, don’t worry. Keep working hard and don’t give up, and you’ll see progress eventually.

Starting a cake business can be tough, but with practice and planning, you can build something that makes people happy and supports your dreams.
