I’ve always loved being my own boss and have always had a passion for helping people become the version of themselves they want to be. This intersection is what inspired the creation of Smoothe Denver, a premium skincare clinic focused on providing bespoke, holistic, and restorative skincare.

Starting a new business is never easy (all entrepreneurs know this well, but especially female ones). From the start, I surrounded myself with smart, compassionate people who were eager to support me and my business. Over the years, we have really focused on providing the best service and working with our clients to help them reach their skin care goals. A huge part of this is our skincare subscription service.

We started this about 2 years ago because we believe that reaching your skincare goals requires patience and expertise. With a membership, our clients enjoy the consistency and results that come from continued care. From the very start, we really co-created this business with our clients, listening to their feedback and making Smoothe Denver the best clinic it can be for our clients.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth(e) road. As all entrepreneurs know, the road to success is arduous and never-ending. One of the greatest struggles for me was coming to this realization; that we will never fully arrive at a finished state. We are on a constant road of improvement and growth and that road, naturally, has bumps in it.

Operationally, we’ve experienced all of the struggles that come with scaling a business (staffing, inventory, physical space). During our third or fourth year in business, Covid hit and really threw everything out of whack. In a lot of ways, this was the largest bump in the road, but it also provided us an opportunity to fully re-imagine the way we provide service to our clients.

On a personal level, it also allowed us the opportunity to step back and fully realize our passion that is this business. They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder and that has absolutely been true throughout the pandemic.

As you know, we’re big fans of Smoothe Denver. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Smoothe Denver, our passion is bespoke, restorative skincare. We work with our clients to understand their goals and co-develop a path to get them there. We offer top-tier aesthetic services like diamond glow, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser therapy. We also offer traditional services like lash lifts, lash tints, waxing, facials, and more.

One thing that sets us apart from others is our skincare subscription. Having healthy, radiant skin requires a certain level of consistency and that’s really what inspired our subscription service that offers monthly services at a discount. The membership comes in three tiers ranging from our least intensive maintenance-type services (facials) to more clinical services that provide striking, lasting results (chemical peels and laser therapy).

We take great pride in being a woman-owned and operated business. For us, this has really been a strength. We’ve created a top-rated skincare clinic with almost 300+ 5-star reviews on Google.

How do you define success?
At Smoothe Denver, we define success in quite a few ways. The first and primary way is in customer satisfaction. We consistently measure client satisfaction using a variety of methods and this deeply informs our strategy as a business. We want our clients to have the best experience, both in regards to their in-clinic experience, but also in the results they achieve with us here at Smoothe.
