Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly DeVries.
Hi Molly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I believe it was meant to be, call it manifesting your life, devine intervention, or Serendipity. I was working in infertility as a Nurse for many years. After being burnt out and working long hours I was looking to get into something more creative and less hours. I had many long talks at night with my husband about what I would want to do next. I always said Aesthetics would be my passion because I have always been artistic and wanting to create, but I loved science too and helping people. I went in for Botox very tired being a busy Mom and the injector asked if I had ever wanted to become an injector and she was looking for nurse and was hiring. She hired me on the spot. I worked there for a few years gaining experience, but after not being paid what I was worth, I was forced to go out on my own. It was scary but it was time to take the leap.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Staying true to your vision and believing in what you want to achieve. Don’t compare yourself to others and what they are doing or how far they have come. They were also beginners at one point too. Stay focused you and your business. It is hard to do with social media. It can distract you or discourage you. Use it be creative and gain knowledge but try not to compare yourself to experts when you are starting out. Everyone was once a beginner at some point.
