Daily Inspiration: Meet Linda Dominique Grosvenor-Holland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Dominique Grosvenor-Holland. 

Hi Linda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I left full-time employment and launched my own business coaching firm in 2006. After 14 years of helping other people launch and scale businesses successfully, I launched my own beauty brand Mega Hair Co. Mega Hair Co. launched in 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic when beauty salons were on mandatory shut down from state to country and hairstylists weren’t able to take appointments. I launched because I understood their needs. The quarantine definitely forced women to learn to care for their hair themselves at home. I actually dreamt the formula for Mega Hair Massive Growth Serum and started blending the all-natural, vegan-friendly hair products in my 12′ x 12′ office at home. I tested the formula on myself for 6 months and when I was pleased with the results–I launched. Mega Hair Co. is now happily building the hair confidence of women around the world. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Businesses have ups and downs. This is something I’ve shared with my clients when I was coaching, so I understood that well. You have to learn the market you’re in. You have to understand your ideal customer and you have to adequately translate what problem your product or service solves for them. The hardest part for me was being in a new niche. I had to learn the market and build trust with my customers. They needed to know why they should purchase the product and my answer was always clear: I was the test subject and it worked for me. My hair was thinning, breaking, and shedding. Mega Hair Co. Serum gave me my confidence back. If it worked for me, it will work for you. Customers loved my transparency and I use that to stand apart along with the fact that the product is all-natural, vegan, and non-GMO and nourishes the hair with key ingredients proven to grow hair. While Mega Hair Co. got a slow start with sales, I now have a steady stream of faithful customers who trust the brand with the care of their hair and I love that. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
One of the key reasons I launched Mega Hair Co. is that like I shared, my hair was breaking off and shedding more than it was actually growing. I was tired of trying different products. I wanted a single product that could be a staple in my hair regimen and really help me reach my hair growth goals. As a creative, you know we like to experiment. So, I mixed nutritious oils, perfected the formula, fully stocked my office and it’s been one hair growth testimony and length retention testimony after the other ever since.
