Check Out Roberto Zuniga’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberto Zuniga. 

Hi Roberto, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
In 2011 I got my start in the furniture business at Wilcox Furniture, before I got there it had already been in business for 40 years, it was a stock-driven store with multiple brands on display. As a Design Consultant there it was my first sales position ever that I had to do in person. I’m grateful for my time there as I learned a lot about the inner workings of the furniture business and style and room styling. Fast forward to 2017 I gained a higher position at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in the Park Meadows area. I’m excited to say that the upholstery product is American Made since 1927 and the consistency and durability/comfort is industry-leading. Since my time here I’ve been collaborating with elite Interior Stylist Like Davia Lomax, Bailee Cotton, Juliet Duran, and Julie Green… As a predominantly custom studio, it has allowed me as a Design Consultant to get much satisfaction through the creative process of working with clients that have many styles, needs, and functions. I’m also pumped about the “Recliner King” culture that I’ve developed. I’m thankful that the local community and surrounding areas have supported us through this pandemic. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Product knowledge, being too transactional, and not relaxing during the creative process were the biggest struggles at first. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in Recliners, Leather, and general Custom upholstery for Interior Residential Styling. I’m most proud of solving Client’s problems in a way that is unique to each without breaking the bank. What sets me apart from other is my overall Knowledge, Wisdom, and understanding of the La-Z-Boy Collections. 

What are your plans for the future?
My future plans are to expand my reach to a wider audience and educate people on how to maximize their space’s potential by way of social media such as TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
