Today we’d like to introduce you to Sanja Ganja. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Sanja Ganja is vastly known for her passion of cannabis education through her show “The Sanja Ganja Show”. While managing dispensaries, she was able to directly connect with patients all throughout Colorado. An original pioneer of cannabis advocacy, over the last 12 years Sanja has grown from employee to board advisor of multiple operations within Cannabis. Sanja utilizes her brand and retail knowledge to continue the elevation and growth of other businesses while also being able to enter various industries to complete her mission within cannabis, which is spreading awareness while changing perspectives. Sanja advises Unified Global directing operations within retail. She also acts as Director of Marketing for the THC Girls which just launched a brand-new APP and sits on the board for Mangrove Botanicals located in Florida.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Growth within the cannabis industry has always been challenging. Fighting employee rights, to fair regulations for patients and navigating being in management at a young age was just the tip of my tribulations over the last decade. Now I seek purpose, working with meaningful enterprises that want to do right within the world and the industry. Ending stigmas was always the first battle but now that is dissipating slowly and has enabled me to sit at the round table with MSOs and large brand names. The fight for the plant will always be a challenge because of the benefits it has and the powers at be within this world, but that is a fight I have always been prepared for. Now I have the support I need to have a larger voice.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in elevating perspectives within cannabis business and in life with my show. In order to grow the industry, we must let go of our egos and grow within ourselves, remember what Cannabis is here for, HEALING. That is my mission. I sit on the board of multiple collectives that do their part to move the industry further along by those who are rooted within the plant. I have a unique perspective of cannabis being a patient myself, starting employment within cannabis pre-rec, and by having a show that connects to the masses. My work within my collectives are based upon the culture and assist in brand awareness and eventual expansion. Seeking best practices for the plant and the people are my sweet spot and what drives my passion within the industry.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m eccentric on my show and when entertaining business proposals or my colleagues but I’ve chosen a slower-paced lifestyle in the background. I enjoy bird watching in my riverfront home with my dogs, wife, and daughter while drinking my favorite kombucha. A serious 360 from what you may think based upon what you see online.
