Life & Work with David Sundine II

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Sundine II. 

Hi David, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I think it started when I was young and had the urge to draw my favorite cartoon characters on Saturday morning TV. It’s funny where your artistic passion starts and where it takes you. My creative outlets have changed over the years and is part of what kind of person I am today. When I started, I wanted to be an animator and create shows for people to enjoy. Until my passion for music came knocking in 6th grade and wanting to be in a band. So, I had my eyes set ever since. 

Who says you can’t do both right? As my passion for music grew larger I realized more and more through the years that my design work and being in a band go hand in hand. Knowing we wanted to be self sufficient and having the passion for both creative outlets I started doing all the design work for my bands and started learning about branding in general as a business, which has led my passion of graphic design to paying my bills and being my career.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a freelance designer that works mainly in the Music/Entertainment industry specializing in branding and marketing. Anything from album artwork, brand identity, merchandise, socials media, and ads. The most humbling thing I’m proud of is being able to create for a living and what sets me apart is my passion with every project I have the pleasure working with. 

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I definitely think some trends are going to repeat itself with every new social platform. I definitely see NFTs being a long-lasting trend that is here to stay.
