Daily Inspiration: Meet Jen Peppler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen Peppler. 

Hi Jen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Pure by Jennifer Christine began in January 2021 but has been in the works for years before that. I had played around with starting my business but something always stopped me from doing it. My friend Tina Beauvais opened up a sweet little local boutique here in Greeley Colorado and was looking to add some local vendor products into her storefront. I hadn’t officially started my company yet, but I had a product, so I took the leap of faith and reached out to her. I still don’t know why, but she said yes, and her believing in me to do it was all I needed to finally push through and say now is the time to do this! I started selling my products in her boutique and have since expanded to Local Farmers Markets, as well as large vendor events like Vintage Market Days and other local events. To say I started out running was an understatement. If anything, I pray that my journey and how my business started, encourages anyone out there that might be sitting on an idea or a dream. Maybe they don’t know what’s stopping them from taking that first step out in faith. Dare I say that sometimes WE are the reason why things haven’t happened in our lives yet? To that person…just do it, all the little details will come together. The hardest step is the first one, but you have everything inside of you to make it happen! 

We are very proud to offer non-toxic beauty, bath & home products you can fully trust. We believe that less is more in regards to ingredients. I solely curate each formula, start to finish, putting hours of research into each one making sure they will be the perfect blend texture and smell. I scour suppliers for the very best ingredients from earthy carrier oils, beautiful botanicals, locally wildcrafted herbs, and beeswax, ethically sourced minerals, and pure organic essential oils and scents. Our ethos comes from using natural ingredients, as close to the earth as possible, as well as using organic, non-GMO, fair trade & ethically sourced ingredients whenever possible. 

I started my own non-toxic journey back in 2014 as I set out to start making my own products. I was so sick of not knowing what was in my products, and since realizing that there are many companies out there that claim to be clean companies but are not. That coupled with my skin reacting to products I was just over it! What became a hobby soon grew into a passion of mine. Now I love curating nontoxic products and I’ve just recently started accepting some custom orders. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a growing journey for me! Local regulations have been tricky to navigate as each city and county is different, But I’ve been taking it just one step at a time and just keep moving forward. 

It’s also tricky not comparing yourself to others that may seem more experienced or more successful than yourself. Instead, I try to focus on being my own competitor. As long as I’m improving a little more than the day before then I’m succeeding and growing. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
A lot of this I answered in the previous question, but another thing that sets me apart is my heart for people. My desire to make non-toxic products coupled with my love for people is the why behind my business. My desire was to create a platform where I could connect with people on a personal level to therefore create opportunities to speak truth, love, and affirmations into people’s lives while being able to tangibly offer them a service I can stand behind. I truly believe that there is far more good in the world than bad and that as we partner with being a catalyst for creating beauty, we can be part of the solution for creating mindset change into this world. We have the opportunity, every day, to be the good in this world, and to speak words of love over someone that might desperately need to be seen. Sometimes we don’t even know how impactful our words and interactions with people can be, and it can be the smallest moment that can mean the world to someone. It’s these small moments that I live for. It’s these moments that make me push more, work harder, and what make all those tough moments of being a business owner worth it. I truly love my customers, and anyone who’s had a conversation with me knows it too. They are the reason why I do this and they are the driving force behind my brand. 

Any big plans?
We are very excited about what’s to come with pure by Jennifer Christine. Skies the limit and we’re just getting started! We have a lot of plans and ideas in the near future. We are looking at expanding our reach in markets throughout Northern Colorado. We will be adding custom curated boxes for numerous purposes and also seasonally. We have new products dropping all the time and are now accepting custom orders. We will also be adding more local growers to our list of suppliers (I’m very excited about this!) as well as partnering with some other businesses and nonprofits in the future…more to come on that!
