Rising Stars: Meet Vanessa Frazier

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Frazier. 

Hi Vanessa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We began our journey into the photography industry a year ago. We had a mutual interest in photography as well as a desire to help people capture their special life moments. Additionally, we wanted to help emerging small business owners tell the story of their business through photographs.

We currently manage Bona Fide Photography, LLC part-time but, we take our business and providing our clients with a great experience seriously.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As most small business owners are familiar with, the first year has had its ups and downs but, we keep our “why” before us to work through the challenges that come along with owning a business. While running a business part-time can have its challenges, seeing the change in a client’s confidence after a photo session reminds us why we do this.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
By day, we both work in professional fields that we love and at night, as well as on the weekends, we work on building BFP into a sustainable creative business. Our goal is not only to create an additional stream of income that provides a creative outlet but, also allows us to create a future that will let us continue serving the community in a different way.
