Daily Inspiration: Meet Nina Wilson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nina Wilson.

Hi Nina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always had a passion for helping people and truly believe it is what I am meant to do. This passion has led me on a glorious journey of receiving education in all areas of health and wellness. I currently maintain my license in Mental Health Counseling and Psychotherapy trained in several therapeutic modalities. In 2020, I discovered a deep calling for Sacred Plant Medicine & Psychedelics as well as furthering my practice in energy healing becoming a Karuna Reiki® Master in addition to being a Holy Fire® III Reiki Master. These modalities have all helped me live the life of my dreams and I truly believe it is my purpose to help guide people through their healing and evolution. I have found plant medicine, energy healing, and psychic guidance to be some of the most beautiful tools to assist in the process of human transformation.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Everything I do in my business and with my clients has developed from my own healing journey. It wasn’t just working with clients that helped me to see the need for a more holistic, integrated approach but it was from healing my own trauma that I truly understood the benefit. Coming from a clinical background, it has been a challenge to understand the best way to create such a model in my business but I knew it was vital to figuring out in order to best serve my clients. Despite having to shut down during the pandemic, just one month after opening, we have found ways to connect with the community and serve the clients in need.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My expertise is in trauma, psychedelic integration, plant medicine, and suicide prevention. I have had a passion for guiding and supporting people in their healing journey for as long as I can remember.

Creating an integrated approach to healing and evolution has left many hats for me to wear. The holistic protocol used provides an array of services highlighting mental health therapy, functional medicine for mental health, energy work, plant medicine, breathwork, yoga, somatic experiencing, and intuitive gifts. When I am able to combine the different aspects of healing into work with clients, I find more effective, longer-lasting results.

I have recently been helping people find freedom from their prescription anti-depressants. This is an area of work that I fell into but have become quite passionate about. Though this can be tricky, most physicians help people with a taper down plan but don’t always help mitigate the side effects that come with withdrawal and I hope to fill that gap for people on this part of their journey.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I have learned along this journey is not just that in order for humans to have true healing and evolution, you need a holistic, integrated approach (this is where most modalities alone go wrong) but also that humans need a safe space to heal with lots of love and compassion. Providing a safe, compassionate space for my clients to go through their integrated healing process has been the most important component. This also allows me to empower my clients as opposed to enable them. This creates a beautiful possibility for them to reach true freedom.
