Today we’d like to introduce you to Sally Crunkleton.
Hi Sally, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Since childhood, I knew I wanted to work with animals, particularly dogs. I studied, shadowed, and apprenticed under any dog trainer who would allow me to help and learn.
I began formally training dogs at the age of 22, and almost 23 years later, it is still my passion.
I left my corporate America career as a Pharmaceutical/Device sales rep to train dogs full-time and never looked back.
I love helping people obtain their desired lifestyle with their pets as well as competing with my own. I have also worked with police K9 handlers, and MWD handlers, and worked as a narcotics detection dog handler.
I started my own company, True Potential K9, and have an amazing team with the same passion and versatility to help people and their dogs.
I am happy to now call Colorado home and look forward to being a resource for all types of dog owners.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worthwhile is ever easy…I was still living in GA while the training facility was being built on the property.
Constant hurdles to get the project done, and done correctly, and starting up in a place where you are completely unknown has been challenging.
Thankfully we have made some amazing contacts and now with some success stories from Northern Colorado, things are happening and we are helping dogs!
We’ve been impressed with True Potential K9, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
True Potential K9 is more than just another dog training business. We focus on the individual dog and owner and tailor our training program to what they need and desire.
We offer private training sessions whether on-site at our facility or in their home. We also offer board and train programs, behavior modification, group classes, and sports preparation, and will be hosting seminars for various dog sports in the near future.
We are also an approved AKC Fit Dog club and a training location for Working Dogs of America, Corp (WDA) for those looking to do more fun things with their dogs.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
We exist almost solely via word of mouth, veterinarian referrals, and pet store referrals.
Letting people know we are here and sharing any experiences they may have with us are great ways to support us!
