Meet Sergei Vassiliev

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sergei Vassiliev.

Hi Sergei, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I came to America on a music scholarship from Ukraine when I was 13 years old. I am very grateful to be a working musician and can realize my dreams of running my concert series.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an international student had its challenges, but I am very grateful for the lessons they taught me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am very proud of the classical concert series called EPIC, which I started with lots of help from friends and colleagues, I want to stress that I could not do it alone. We started in 2019 and were a pandemic start-up.

I am just a classical musician and starting a non-profit concert series during a pandemic was exciting difficult and different for me. I am very proud of how far we have come in a short time.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Be creative, focus on the vision, always strive for the best product, be kind, and be honest.
