Hi Trevor, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’re the Fungi Fanatics! We started as commercial gourmet mushroom growers and sought a solution to grow kits at home for people that weren’t riddled with faux science and unnecessary price gouging. Coloradans, more than anyone, like to know where their food is grown. So what’s better than growing In your own home?

With decriminalization, and prop 122 on the horizon, we knew people would be starving for a no-nonsense, professional, and affordable solution to the cultivation of their favorite happy mushrooms.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The hardest part of the business is navigating the delicate and sometimes gray area of the legalities. We take pride in being able to say our product is 100% legal and able to be purchased throughout the country. Also, we cook our product fresh to order, unlike our competitors. So this was hard to figure out logistically in the beginning with the different temperature zones across the country, as we ship nationwide!

Jacob has been cultivating mushrooms for 8 years professionally now. That’s all he knows! Whether it be button mushrooms or Maitake, Jacob has grown them all! Trevor has bounced between the commercial mushroom cultivation world, and the culinary industry, insisting the connection between both is vital, and the lines less blurred than some think.

The Fungi Fanatics are known for bringing a breath of fresh air, and legitimate business practice to an emerging psilocybin industry filled with scams and BS. High-quality, fresh mushrooms are our end goal in everything we do.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
The whole business model itself is a risk. We are trying to be at the right place at the right time. The final product we’d like to offer, is not able to be offered, due to sensitive legalities. This essentially creates a slow burner scenario where we’re running the business to have the proper momentum whenever the proper situation arises.
