Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Amaduzzi. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Simone Amaduzzi was born in Bologna, Italy in 1977. His passion for photography has developed over time, thanks to the artistic inheritance of His dad, Daniele Amaduzzi; it is to him, an F1 photojournalist, that Simone now dedicates all his efforts to turn the passion into a profession.
His father’s job allowed Simone to travel around the world from a very early age, giving him the chance to savor landscapes and colors which, in time, he has tried to capture in his frames.
Simone’s relationship with the camera keeps growing deeper because of his work experience with one of the most prestigious Nature and Wildlife magazines. This experience influenced his work as he now
constantly looks for that single, most touching detail that will inspire both, him and those who enjoy his photos. Simone is also exhibiting His art all around the world and teaching other amateur photographers what it takes to get the perfect shot.
Today Simone still travels around the world with the tenacity of a man and the curiosity of a child, looking for that exciting shot, hoping to be able to pass on the purity of photography and the “joie the
vivre” each one of us can find in a simple frame.
“To be able to admire a curious giraffe or a playful elephant while they enjoy themselves in the water is something that doesn’t happen every day; the thought of immortalizing the action of the game the whole sports season worthwhile, or a singer singing at their most passionate moment of a hit song is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime and, as a photographer, I have had the opportunity to document. The feeling of photographing those moments is indescribable.
I hope that my images can give you the same emotions that happened to me while I was looking for the ideal place, the right moment, and the perfect time to try to make it eternal. It is a pleasure to show you
my years of hard work and some of my hardest shoots, no matter how long it took or how hard it was, but always done with joy and the love that this job has given me.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never a smooth road. A lot of obstacles have been and will always be on our path. What we need to understand is that we might won’t be able to change the world but we can try to make the world better.
Competition is getting higher and higher but that doesn’t mean I should stop “clicking”. Actually that “obstacle” gave me the strength to push myself over the limit. How would I do that?
-Thinking out of the box and getting prepared for the unprepared…
– Studying the area
– Knowing the sunrise and sunset time
– Having an idea of what to expect
– Searching for the perfect corner
– Knowledge of my equipment and how “far” I can go with it
– Respect the nature, the wildlife, the environment and other people
– Trying to enjoy every single moment because millions of people would love to be in my same position
I think that my biggest challenge and obstacle would be me. I’m the only one who knows what I’m capable of and how far I can go without risking my life or putting somebody else in danger. I am the master of my destiny.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional Nature and Landscape photographer. When I first started taking pictures I thought I was the king of the world just because I had a camera and I thought I knew enough to get the perfect
pictures. Only after a lot of mistakes and doors slammed on my face I did I realize that I had to take this profession way more seriously and I decided to study it.
I’ve stepped back, went to photography school, and tried to learn as much as possible. I just wanted to make sure that I could avoid the same mistakes I made before and improve day by day, click by click.
What I love the most about my job is that it’s a never-ending learning experience: you are never done and you should never be satisfied enough.
There is always more to do: better light, different angles, different lenses, or just different settings. Nature and Landscape photography seem easier to photograph than Wildlife because the subject doesn’t move but… is it simpler? Are we not tired of seeing the same pictures everywhere? Because today everybody is a photographer (cellphones) we need and we have the duty to do better, to do
differently.
Today after years of trying and mistakes I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished but I know the road is still long and hopefully, it will never end. I’m working with some of the most prestigious Nature and
Wildlife magazines in the world and some of my pictures have been displayed around the world from Museums to Art Shows. What am I most proud of? I’m proud of the fact that I never gave up even when
things looked really bad for me. I’ve never let myself down even when all the circumstances showed I wasn’t going to make it. I’ve never thrown in the towel even when people told me that I wasn’t good enough.
What do you think about happiness?
Uhhhh… Happiness…. What a great word! Happiness is a big part of my life. Everything I do brings me happiness and in everything I do I try to convey happiness.
No matter what we think, our daily routine is filled with challenges and unexpected ups and downs, but we have to carry on anyway, so… why not carry on with a big smile and lots of positive thoughts?
This is my philosophy: if I can make someone smile, well, my heart will be so full of happiness that my day will seem easier to face. If, then, I can bring a smile through my pictures… well, my job is
accomplished!
