Today we’d like to introduce you to Keihona Rinker.

Hi Keihona, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My passion for capturing special moments began during my high school days when I started as a photographer for my school’s newspaper and yearbook. From documenting students studying to capturing school sports, I was always the one behind the camera. After high school, I leaped and invested in my camera, focusing on portrait and maternity sessions while photographing my friends and family.

Nowadays, my photography has evolved to encompass a wide range of subjects, from families to sports events and even stunning cars! The ability to capture emotions and create timeless memories is truly remarkable. Regardless of the season, I find joy in preserving those sentimental moments, whether it’s for branding purposes or capturing couples’ photos. I’m dedicated to securing these fleeting moments for years of enjoyment and it’s truly a blessing.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life has a way of throwing us curveballs. It’s like a roller coaster ride sometimes. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs in my photography journey. I’ve always had this burning passion to create, but things don’t always go according to plan. It’s just how it is, especially in the world of business. Slow seasons happen, even in photography.

But, when I take a moment to look back at all the images I’ve created and where they’ve been published, I can’t help but feel proud of my progress and the journey I’ve been on. It’s those little victories that make it all worthwhile.

No matter what the season, I enjoy capturing sentimental memories. Whether it be for branding or family photos I live to secure the little moments in time, for years of enjoyment.

Starting my photography business was a way for me to explore new situations and learn how to work with other people. I’ve had major anxiety issues all my life and needed to work with it, not around it. Starting my business was more than just a love for taking photos.

It is a way for me to express myself without words. It began with a small shoot here and there with close friends and family. Then it blossomed into taking photos for events, like the Juneteenth Celebration. Now, when it comes to photographing and events, I’m your #1 hype girl.
