Daily Inspiration: Meet Kendahl Belman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendahl Belman.

Hi Kendahl, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
So I’ve been taking photos ever since I can remember honestly! I was always asking my parents for a camera or taking a disposable on vacation with us. Once my husband and I decided to move to Colorado last winter, I decided to make it a full-time gig!

I started by taking some free sessions for strangers and then transitioned into paid sessions. I now have an amazing support system that has helped me grow creatively in ways I couldn’t have even imagined.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Umm, honestly it was challenging at first, especially moving to an area where we barely knew anyone. I had to put myself out there and network as much as possible but all of that paid off!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a queer Denver-based photographer who specializes in couples, engagements, weddings, and elopements! I’d say I’m known for my filmy editing style most of all.

My goal is to always create a safe & welcoming space for all of my clients and authentically capture your love. I am extremely proud to announce that my husband will be joining me and specializing in short videos & super 8 films!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
My husband and I are both originally from the East Coast! We moved here in early 2023 but had previously only lived on the East Coast. This was a huge change and at first adjusting was hard but it’s been such a blessing.
