Hi Mary, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Eternal Knot Press began with shared dreams, woven around the vision of creating simple yet elegant journals to empower women. We are three sisters connecting from different corners of the globe, living in separate states and countries, committing ourselves to creating a space for women to prioritize self-care and feel empowered to grow.

Individually, each of us brings a unique set of skills to the table. One sister, with her flair for fashion design, adds style and elegance to our journals. Another brings her sharp business acumen to ensure our operations run smoothly. Lastly, a sister with technical expertise ensures our products are not just aesthetically pleasing but also functional and user-friendly.

Although we may seem like separate strands, together we form an Eternal Knot, symbolizing our unity and strength as a team. It is this synergy that drives us forward in our commitment to grow and evolve. Through our collective strength, we aim to nurture a larger sisterhood of women, together supporting each other in our journey of empowerment and growth.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many women, we face the same challenge of balancing family responsibilities alongside work commitments. Adding a side hustle to our mix has been both rewarding and a juggling act. Because we live in different time zones and have our individual commitments, there is only a small window each week to discuss new ideas and directions for our business; however, oftentimes these calls become “catch-up” sessions among sisters!

Before we started our business, we noticed a shift from traditional brick-and-mortar retail stores to online sales. We spent countless hours watching tutorial videos and scanning social media accounts to understand new platforms, technology, and terminology. The unexpected importance of establishing a social media presence pushed us into content creation, where we learned the importance of authenticity over fleeting trends.

At Eternal Knot Press, we are passionate about empowering women through our beautifully crafted journals. Our mission is to revive the art of journaling, providing a space for women to slow down, reflect, and prioritize self-care. Our journals serve as a practical tool for putting thoughts on paper, organizing your daily commitments, or recording personal memories.

We aspire to be more than a brand; we aim to be a symbol of sisterhood – a collective of strength and resilience. One of our goals is to create a community dedicated to uplifting and empowering one another by sharing ideas and supportive encouragement. We highly value input from our community and actively seek their insights and ideas to enhance our journals.

Looking ahead, we have exciting plans to expand our offerings. We will soon be introducing directed journals tailored to specific needs and interests within our community, including productivity, health, and travel. Ultimately, we hope our journals become cherished companions, designed with care and intention to help women thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most crucial lesson we have learned is that failure often holds the most valuable lessons. Despite being sisters, our individual ideas and perspectives vary greatly leading to moments of disagreement and clashes in decision making.

We have adopted the practice of giving all strong ideas a chance knowing that each forward step is an opportunity for growth. This approach, coupled with our commitment to continuous learning, has provided us with diverse insights, leading to better ideas and decisions.

Overall we believe that in business, like life itself, resilience and hard work are the keys to reaping the rewards of our efforts. While we anticipate more challenges ahead, our bond as sisters will only strengthen, affirming our Eternal Knot in this journey.
