Hi Callie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thanks for having me!  A quick personal introduction – although originally from the midwest, my family and I have lived in the Denver area since 2019.  My husband, two kiddos and I currently live in Lakewood.  If I’m not at my desk, you’ll most likely find me goofing off in the mountains with my family, dancing to live music, tending to my house plants, or whipping up a new recipe in the kitchen.

As for a professional introduction, my journey into the digital ecosystem, and ultimately web design, began in the corporate world of marketing – working for large firms such as Catalina Marketing and Nielsen – where my roles included advising top-tier CPG companies on effective marketing and advertising strategies using data and analytics.

Amidst the corporate hustle, I always felt a pull towards something more personal and fulfilling. After I became a mother in 2017, I seized the opportunity to explore my creative and entrepreneurial spirit, starting with helping a friend craft a website for her artwork. And what began as a little side project to keep my mind fresh while staying home with my daughter, my newfound skills blossomed into a passion as I continued designing sites for friends and family.

In late 2020, a pivotal moment sparked the realization that web design could be more than just a hobby—it could be my next professional calling. With the universe seemingly aligning, I embraced this new path, diving into Squarespace and launching Rise Up Web Design in mid-2021. In my first year, I launched nine websites across diverse industries and earned recognition as a Squarespace Circle Member.

Since founding Rise Up Web Design, I’ve had the privilege of assisting over 30 clients in launching their businesses and enhancing their online presence. Every single one of these connections has been through word of mouth, which speaks to the genuine care I have for my clients’ businesses and their success. It’s this dedication that fuels every project, and I look forward to continuing to support and empower even more entrepreneurs on their journey to success.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running your own business, especially flying solo like many solopreneurs do, piles on many responsibilities. However, the toughest hurdle in those early days isn’t just the endless to-do list—it’s wrestling with that negative self-talk and battling imposter syndrome. It’s like a constant tug-of-war with your doubts.

You see others out there with more experience, success, and a bigger following, and suddenly, you’re questioning if you’ve got what it takes. To be successful, you have to dig deep and keep reminding yourself why you started this journey in the first place. You’ve got your own unique set of skills to bring to the table, and there’s a reason you’re in the game. Trust in yourself, believe in your vision, and keep pushing forward. The road is never smooth, but the journey is so worth it!
